Ned's Club Washington

Baristas at Ned’s Club Washington DC are the coffee experts preparing the hot drinks in any of our restaurants and bars. Each restaurant and bar has its own distinct look, vibe, complete with menu to compliment it. You’ll be serving our members and guests whether they are starting their day, keeping fueled throughout a business meeting, or wrapping up a delicious meal with friends and family. What’s the role?Barista Who we are…The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.Seven years after launching The Ned London in 2017, we are proud to be opening a Ned’s Club in the US capital, our fourth and newest location. The Property…Ned’s Club Washington DC is a members’ club set over three floors of a neoclassical style building situated within President’s Park at 734 15th Street NW. The Riggs Building sits opposite the US Treasury and was constructed in 1930. The 12-story building is located around the corner from the White House and sits above the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, formerly the historic Riggs Bank Corcoran branch. The Club has a Rooftop Terrace and Loft Restaurant with views overlooking the White House, US Treasury and Washington Monument, plus a Founder’s Dining Room, The Library, Drawing Room, Gallery and Conservatory. On level nine, there is a self-contained floor of private event spaces. As part of our Bar operations team and as a key part of the food and beverage team you will: <ul><li>Prepare and serve up perfectly made hot and cold drinks from our range of menus</li><li>On our guest service bars you will be the friendly face providing exceptional experiences, along with recommendations and suggested drinks</li><li>On our service bars you will speedily prepare the orders as they come in, keeping our servers and runners stocked with the hot and cold drinks they need to deliver a seamless experience to our guests</li><li>All of our bars are in full view of the guests so a tidy, presentable, and slick operation is essential</li><li>Be a guardian of drink quality and presentation, never letting anything lower than Ned’s Club standards reach our guests</li><li>Maintain a safe and clean bar environment, protecting our guests and your teammates from any possible harm</li></ul> What you can bring to the role: <ul><li>You’ll have a fantastic personality, engaging with our customers to give them an exceptional service</li><li>You’ll have great all-round coffee and hot drinks knowledge</li><li>You have the desire to learn and progress and you can take part in our extensive bar training as part of our monthly learning calendar</li><li>Able to work morning shifts starting at 6:30am- able to work on weekends</li><li>Open availability preferred</li></ul> What The Ned can give you: <ul><li>Salary of $17.50/hour plus gratuities</li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life, STD, LTD Insurance</li><li>Complimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant when the Club opens</li><li>Exciting learning and development programs to help progress your career</li><li>Exclusive rates with our hotels for stays and dining, exclusive rates for your family and friends for hotel stays</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>401k matching</li><li>Employee assistance program - advice and support</li><li>Reward and recognition initiatives</li></ul> At The Ned, we don't just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better.
